We design a site specifically for you and whether your web site requires infrequent or regular updates we can offer a low cost solution to keeping your live web site alive and interesting.

In todays modern times, there are a whole host of features available to build a both stunning and interactive web site. The creation and completion of a web site can be grouped into two areas design and development:

Web Design

The main objective of a website is to meet your requirements. This is the majority of cases is to attract visitors and convert them into customers. The way the website looks and feels plays a large part in educating and assuring the visitor that they have arrived at the right site for them.

It is our resposibility to produce a design that is right for your target audience, and encourages them to explore the website. We use many different software, programmes and approaches whilst designing the website, these include:

Hand Drawn designs - Are used to quickly produce layouts and ideas for the web site.

Adobe Photoshop - Is used to produce mock-ups and the final design, which the coders use to put the site together.

Adobe Illustrator - Is another tool for producing high quality graphics, design elements and logos.

Adobe Dreamweaver - Is used to construct the web site.

Cascading Style Sheets - CSS is used with HTML to style the web site from a separate file. This brings many advantages including advanced design features, lower file sizes.

Web Development

Once the web site has been designed, the web site then needs to be developed. This can be as basic as constructing the design as a web page in HTML, or it can be as complex as building a complex database driven web site.

Development will be completed by a team of individuals who each specialise in different areas of the construction process. Web Developers can use any of the following to develop a web site and any ongoing maintenance that may be required:

HTML - Hypertext Markup Language is the basic language for presenting a website.

XHTML - is the markup language with the same depth as HTML, but XHTML also conforms to XML syntax.

XML - is a custom language for creating custom markup.

RSS - Stands for 'Real Simple Syndication' and is a popular format for publishing frequently updated articles and stories like blogs.

PHP - Is a free (released under the PHP License) scripting language for constructing dynamic web sites.

MySQL - Is a Open Source Database platform (available under terms of the GNU General Public License) and used in conjunction with PHP and other languages to store and retrieve data.

AJAX - is a coding nickname for the combination technique of XML and Javascript for making rich internet applications.

Javascript - is an established client-side scripting language commonly used by web site developers.
